High Upon the Mountain is the full length debut from rambling rock n’ roll quartet Pacific Range. Drawing upon the deep vibes of The Grateful Dead; the west coast poetics of Gram Parsons; and the rollicking jams of the Allman Brothers, Pacific Range weaves electric guitar and hammond organ amongst tales of life around their Los Angeles, CA stomping grounds.
Produced by Dan Horne (Circles Around the Sun, Cass McCombs, Jonathan Wilson), the album features special appearances from Duane Betts, Sam & Clay of Mapache, Jade Castrinos, Bek Stanley, and Nikki Segal. From the opening title track all the way through to closer “Nothing Else More”, the album consists of eleven songs written by lead singer and guitarist Seamus Turner, brought to life by his bandmates Stewart Forgey, Cameron Wehrle, and Nate Ward.
Released in collaboration with our good friends at Curation Records, High Upon the Mountain is the perfect album for a drive up the coast or through the canyons of LA — hop on in and come along for the ride!
The band is bred on a cocktail of Allman Brothers sunshower shakedowns, Mountain Bus low-gear choogle, shimmers of Help Yourself and, naturally, a requisite dose of The Dead in their veins.
